A Bigger Toolbox Is Not the Goal. Methods Are.
Contents
It is easy to become obsessed with finding better tools.
A new editor, a new AI product, or a new productivity system always makes it feel like peak efficiency is one more migration away.
But what creates long-term value is usually not the tool itself. It is whether you kept the method behind the tool:
- why this tool fits a certain kind of task
- what it actually saves compared with the previous one
- where it breaks down
- how you should judge similar situations next time
If none of that gets written down, every tool change feels like starting over.
That is why I want this blog to slowly become a repository of methods:
- tools can be replaced
- workflows can evolve
- but judgment and method should become more stable over time
That is one of the reasons this site exists.
